Zoë & Theo - St Andrews, 2021 spring pandemic wedding
The beginning of 2021 weddings were absolutely crazy. There was a lot of restrictions in place and we had to respect them, but in the same time there was clients who get married once in their lifetime and we really WANTED to give them decent pictures.
Zoë and Theo got married in back of their granny’s house. There was only 5 people allowed during ceremony so bride, groom, witnesses and the celebrant. Luckily groom’s mum is a minister. And granny and dad were able to look at ceremony through windows. Bride’s family was watching ceremony being live streamed. Pure madness as you can see.
I was asking myself what can I do to capture this ceremony. I came up with an idea of arriving earlier to set up camera inside the tepee - this camera was remotely operated. 2nd camera was in witnesses hands. I downloaded pictures later and edited them. 3rd camera was in my hands and I was photographing from a garage. There was a window and I was able to see part of the garden.
After the ceremony we went for a 'photographic walk’ with Zoé and Theo… 4 people - 2 households - 2 meters distance etc…
Looking at this pictures now, I’m so glad that I came up with all those crazy ideas. Everyone deserves wedding photos. I loved the energy of that day. It was ALL ABOUT LOVE. Just LOVE. Simple as that.
