Charlotte & Gordon - The Engine Works, Glasgow - modern romantic, industrial wedding

They say taking risks produces a beautifully quirky result. This wedding I shot for Charlotte and Gordon did exactly that. They took risks and pushed boundaries.

The venue they chose - The Engine Works, Glasgow - was one that I have shot many weddings at, and which I highly recommend, due to its strong historical background. This location puts a spotlight on Glasgow’s industrial heritage, which is perfect if you seek a rustic and untraditional feel to your wedding.

Charlotte and Gordon themselves are one of the most fun and relaxed couples I have worked with. Their bubbly and dynamic personalities uplifted everybody’s mood, which made them very easy to work with and produce superb photos. We also had a guest appearance! Charlotte and Gordon’s fluffy dog was honestly so cute and just left everyone with a big smile on their faces.

Charlotte chose to wear a sublime pair of navy blue high-heeled Manolo Blahnik heels, with cool detail at the front, which I felt strongly matched the dress and the vibe that the couple was hoping to create.

Finally, it is safe to say that the weather was perfect in every way. The sunset especially gave the post-ceremony photos a dream-like and ethereal effect - which ties the theme of this wedding up beautifully.

Have a look and enjoy!
