I'm Lena /LEH-nah/ I’ve been photographing weddings since 2009 in Scotland and in Europe, and in all these years, my love for honest, layered storytelling has only grown deeper.

My approach is rooted in simplicity and truth. I believe the most meaningful photographs happen when you're not performing – when you're simply present. That’s why I often work gently and quietly, weaving through the day without interrupting its natural rhythm. But I also know when to step in with guidance and intention. If you’re drawn to a more editorial feel or need a bit of direction, I’m just as comfortable offering structure and vision. It’s always about reading the room and honouring the energy of the moment.

I shoot both digital and 35mm film. There's something undeniably special about film: the softness, the grain, the way it captures light and feeling. It slows everything down in the best way, reminding us to be present.

Photography, for me, has always been about preserving memory with care and intention. Alongside weddings, I also love curating and photographing styled shoots – collaborations that allow space for creativity and editorial storytelling. Many of these have been published, and that side of my work continues to feed my love for fashion, thoughtful design, aesthetic play, and bold visionary ideas.

When I’m not behind the camera, you’ll find me: …editing, cooking something seasonal, or planning my next trip to Italy. I love good coffee, quiet slow mornings, and a life lived gently – all of which, I think, show up in the way I photograph, too.

Our pictures are incredible. You are really some kind of witch/shaman, you have such a gift and I feel insanely grateful that we were able to have you with us on the day. First: the photos, of course. Literally we sat there with a bottle of champagne and went through them and were both in tears in minutes. The entire day, moments we weren't even there for or missed ourselves, caught in a way that looks somehow even more beautiful than we remembered. I literally don't know how you did it but the whole thing looks like an actual dream. Níall. I'm used to having my photo taken but he honestly hates it. Hates being in front of a camera, hates every photo of himself. The lovely immensely talented Lena, I don’t think I can put into words how perfect her photos are but I’ll try! I found Lena on instagram and fell in love with her photos, I knew I wanted her to be our photographer so much so we waited to book our venue until we knew she was available! Lena was so lovely to work with and made sure to personalise our photos and poses to be exactly what we envisioned, taking the time to make sure we got photos like the ones I had sent to her as inspiration! She was so vocal with her positivity that made us feel good and comfortable while getting all these photos taken which we aren’t used to at all! Our photos are exactly what we envisioned like I can’t get over just how perfect they are! I fell in love with her ability to catch the pure joy and candidness of a wedding day and she definitely delivered just that, we have over 1k of pure perfected photos that bring back our wedding day bliss.
