Eirinn & Craig - The Cottiers, Glasgow West End wedding

It’s one of these weddings which were planned, then postponed, then the ceremony venue has changed, so again planning, downsizing and waiting…

I know that most of 2021 brides was tired of waiting through 2020, so they simply wanted to get married… finally! And I’m so glad they all did. We photographed the most emotional weddings, beautiful family reunions, magical moments. 2021 was an amazing year to get married.

Eirinn and Craig’s wedding ceremony was originally planned at the Glasgow Uni (where we photographed their engagement shoot - click HERE if you want to see it). Luckily their reception venue has a magical ‘theatre’ which looks like a gothic cathedral inside. So they both said ‘i do’ just there. In the Cottiers spectacular Neo-Gothic theatre.

I’m from Poland, if something looks like ‘a church’ in Poland - it needs to be a church, so I’m always amazed how the historical architecture is reused in a modern way here in the UK. With a curiosity of a child I visit pubs in old churches, restaurants and I really enjoy the idea of adapting old buildings to the new reality. The theatre in The Cottiers is such a statement of a place and it was something very different to venues we usually visit.

The wedding day itself was very relaxed, emotional and heartwarming. There was lots of tiny moments, beautiful reactions. Colourful flowers, warm and moist day. Ah and my beloved MUA and hair girls were there (yes we love to work together).

It was all a very enjoyable wedding in a beautiful part of Glasgow. Loved it truly.
