Rest and Be Thankful - Highlands, Scotland elopement style anniversary photoshoot - MAGDA & LUCA

Honestly… I forgot when it was I’m so rubbish with blogging haha.

OK. It was August 2019. Magda is my dear friend and I was delighted when Luca her Sicilian husband asked me to capture their love in a wilderness somewhere in highlands. It was his anniversary gift to her, and I can say it was full of sacrifice as Luca absolutely hates posing.

There are two types of people the one who loves to be photographed (probably only professional models and teenagers posing for selfies in the public toilets) and the rest - who is not such a big fan of posing. Luca is a 3rd group - he avoided confrontation with my camera for 4 years - the most stubborn type ever ;)

Magda was always dreaming of elopement style photos with a very Scottish landscape around, but not too far from the city as they left their tiny baby boy Alessandro at home with granny. The perfect choice was ‘Rest and be Thankful’.

It was my 3rd photoshoot there, but I’m not worried when I have to get back to locations which I like. I know that every time photos taken there has a completely different vibe and character.

My 1st photoshoot was cold and windy: CHECK IT HERE

My 2nd one there was taken during gorgeous golden light: CHECK IT HERE

I'm sure you can notice how Highlands are changing depending on light, weather and season, this time I was hoping for something different again and Scotland made a trick on me, because I wasn’t expecting THAT!

THE RAIN WAS POURING SIDEWAYS. We started in neutral low clouds weather and we finished…. in the car - because we were so drenched that my camera stopped displaying any photos (thankfully only until it fully dried out at home in a bowl of rice).

Car photos were my spontaneous idea and I’m so glad I got it. One of the featured pictures was published on Photobug Community Blog as a TOP photo of the week. Well, I’m not surprised - Magda and Luca were hot AF in the car… as they are in a real-life - total couple goals here.

Ladies and gentlemen - I have very cool friends, and that’s them:
